You or someone in your family may have purchased real estate brokerage services directly from one of the Defendants in connection with the sale of a home or lot, between January 14, 2006 and September 17, 2007.

2. How do I know if I am a Class Member?

You are a class member if, between January 14, 2006 and September 17, 2007, you purchased real estate brokerage services from Sea Pines Real Estate Companies, Inc. a/k/a The Sea Pines Real Estate Co.; Coastal Homes and Land, Inc. a/k/a Coastal Homes & Land Realty; Collins Group Realty, Inc.; Engard Rental Company, LLC a/k/a Engard Real Estate Co.; Bruce A. Goff, Inc.; Daufuskie Island Resort Realty, LLC; Searchlight Realty, Inc. a/k/a Searchlight Realty; Gateway Realty, LLC; Hilton Head Luxury Properties, Inc. a/k/a Prudential Premier Island Properties; Charter 1 Realty & Marketing; The William F. 4. How do I receive my share of the fund?

If you received a notice in the mail, then no further action is required.

If you did not receive a notice by mail, please download and print the Publication Long Form Notice and Claim Form. To qualify for payment, you must send in a completed claim form. Read the instructions carefully, fill out the form, sign it, and mail it to the Claims Administrator postmarked no later than May 28, 2013.

5. How do I get a Notice and Claim Form if I did not receive one in the mail?

A Publication Long Form Notice and Claim Form can be downloaded and printed from www.strategicclaims.net/seapinessettlement or you can call toll-free at (866) 274-4004 to request one be mailed out to you.

6. When will I receive a check?

No payments will be made until after the Court grants final approval of the Settlement and after any appeals are resolved, if any. The Final Approval Hearing is currently scheduled for June 11, 2013, but it is unknown at this time when and if the Settlement will be finally approved by the Court. In the event that your address/name changes during that time, please contact the Claims Administrator to update that information.

7. Do I need to have my own lawyer?

No. If you are a member of the Class, then you are represented by the law firms of Goldman Scarlato Karon & Penny, P.C., Thurmond Kirchner Timbes & Yelverton, McGowan Hood and Felder LLC, and Reinhardt Wendorf & Blanchfield. If you want to be represented by your own lawyer, you may hire one at your own expense.
